What amenities are included in the apartment, such as kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi, and TV?

Are there any additional fees, such as cleaning fees or taxes, that I should be aware of?
Yes, there will be charged a cleaning fee of CHF 200.
How many people can the apartment accommodate, and are there any sleeping arrangements I should know about?
The apartment can accommodate 6 people. However we do not recommend the apartment for 6 adults, as the space can become a bit limited and there is only one shower/bathtub. The apartment is perfectly suited for up to 5 adults or 2 adults and up to 4 kids for example.
Is there parking available at the apartment, and is it included in the rental price?
Yes, there is a garage that can accomodate a normal sized car and there are 2 additional parking spots in front of the garage. The parking is included in the rental price.
What is the check-in and check-out process like, and are there any specific instructions I should be aware of?
We will be there in person to assist you during the check-in process and explain you everything. However we won't be present during check-out, a short video-call is necessary to check the house and all switch positions of the heating and electronic devices (safety measure).
What is the cancellation policy for the apartment rental?
The reservation can be cancelled and is completely refunded up to 2 weeks before the start of the reservation.
Are there any nearby restaurants, grocery stores, or other amenities that I should be aware of?
The apartment is located on the hillside above the town of Engelberg. The town and all the shops and restaurants can be reached within 3 minutes by car (if the street is not snow covered) or within 10-15 minutes by foot (downhill quicker than uphill :-). There is also an elevator that helps as a shortcut on the way up.
Can you recommend any nearby ski rental shops or ski schools?
In the town of Engelberg you can find numerous ski rental shops such as Quattro Sport, Gisin Sport, Titlis Sport, Achermann Sport, Stöckli Ski, Go-In Sport and many more.
The 2 main ski schools in Engelberg are Schweizer Skischule and Prime Ski School.
Both ski schools offer group and private lessons for kids and adults.
Is there a balcony or outdoor space that guests can use?
Yes, there is a large balcony that offers fantastic views over the entire valley, the town of Engelberg and the Mount Titlis.
Seating and a table is provided on the balcony.
What is the policy regarding pets, and are they allowed in the apartment?
We love pets, but pets are unfortunately not allowed in the apartment due to the floor covered with carpet.
Is there a security deposit required for the vacation rental apartment?
Yes, once you confirm your reservation you will be asked to pay by bank transfer or TWINT 1/3 of the total rental price.
The remaining amount is due before check-in.
This amount is fully refundable up to 2 weeks before your reservation starts in case of cancellation.
Cancellations within 2 weeks before the start of the reservation won't be refunded.
Can you provide recommendations for transportation to and from the ski resort?
The cheapest and easiest option is by Free Ski Bus. From the apartment it's a 3 mintues walk to the Bus Station "ZELGLI", from there the bus will take you directly to the valley station of the cable cars of the Titlis ski resort and back. Total time around 15 minutes.
By foot it will take around 20-30 minutes from the apartment to the valley station.
By car it takes you 10 minutes, parking costs CHF 5 for the entire day at the valley station.
Is smoking allowed in the apartment?
No, smoking is not allowed in the apartment. You can however smoke on the balcony.
Is there a washer and dryer in the apartment, or are there laundry facilities nearby?
Yes, there is a washer and a dryer that can be used. A small fee will be charged for the usage of both.
There are however not many hanging facilities for drying clothes.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Yes, minimum stay is normally 1 week.
Please write or call us to ask if a shorter stay would be possible.
Is there a pool or spa available at the vacation rental apartment?
No, there is no pool or spa available at the apartment. But you can enjoy the spa facilities at the Hotel Eienwäldli Wellness (5 minutes by car).
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in: no specific times, check-in time will be agreed on beforehand. We try to give you flexibility.
Check-out: latest by 11AM
Is there a bus service available to and from the apartment?
Yes, the Free Ski Bus is just 3 minutes away by foot from the apartment. The closest bus stop is called "ZELGLI", from there the bus takes you down to town or the different cable car stations.
